Postcard of the Savu
Islands
This 80
minute DVD/VCD was filmed and edited by Ina Tali
(Francesca Von Reinhaart). It contains still
images, video and songs recorded live on Savu in
2004. The lead vocals are by Ama Hatu of Hawoe
Dimu (Eastern Savu). The songs are subtitled in
Savunese and English, with sections on the
Savunese alphabet and "Djingi tii Eu",
the Savunese tradition (see excerpts below).
